Job Summary

SAIC is seeking a highly skilled Radio Frequency Systems Engineer to provide systems engineering and technical advisory (SETA) services to a United States Government (USG) customer. The successful candidate will support the development and maturation of Radio Frequency (RF) technology from applied research into demonstrably mature capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Directly support government program managers in project management and execution of RF technology research and development (R&D) efforts.
  • Plan and support technology maturation through the R&D lifecycle.
  • Support the transition of mature RF hardware to system program offices for flight development.
  • Survey the state of the art RF technologies and provide technical recommendations to guide the customer's future RF technology development strategy and roadmaps.
  • Work closely with the customer to support all phases of the acquisition strategy and process, including Requests for Proposal, Statements of Work, Requirements, Contract Data Requirements List, and other required solicitation/contract documents.
  • Support acquisition source selection activities as an advisor.
  • Assist the USG customer with the oversight of technology development contracts and develop status briefings for government and industry.
  • Interact with organizations, including DoD, NASA, National Labs, and Universities, to coordinate activities for maximum effect.
  • Provide identification, assessment, and resolution of risks during the acquisition phase and during program execution.
  • Work with the customer to advance resiliency activities/initiatives in RF technology.
  • Identify and advise the government on relevant current and emerging technologies, as well as tasks affecting the management of the R&D portfolio.

Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI with Poly.
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Math, or a related discipline with 14+ years of experience.
  • Experience working in RF technology with program/project management experience.
  • Knowledge of RF hardware systems and/or device technologies and the RF industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, and energetic environment.
  • Effective interpersonal skills and strong briefing and writing skills.
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office applications.
