Job Title: Client Services Medical Technologist

Job Type: Full-time

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Medical Laboratory Technologist to join our team at Clinical Laboratories of Hawaii. In this role, you will work under the general supervision of the Client Services Manager or Client Services Supervisor to provide high-quality laboratory services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Understand routine laboratory test procedures and report test results

• Correlate clinical information and report discrepancies to Medical Technologist, Sr.

• Collect and direct the collection of specimens with attention to proper patient identification, priority status, and hospital and laboratory safety and infection control policies

• Troubleshoot specimen problems or questionable results with technologist or pathologist

• Work with and communicate with CLH staff and outside reference labs to provide for patient needs

• Ensure appropriate supplies are always on hand in their assigned area

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in medical technology or related science from an accredited program

• Current and active certification from the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) as a laboratory scientist (MLS), formerly known as MT/CLS or American Medical Technologist, as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) (AMT)

• Strong reading, writing, and analytical skills

• Ability to operate general laboratory equipment, including but not limited to telephones, computers, automated analyzers, centrifuges, microscopes, manual and automated pipettes, and audible alarms
