Pit Loader Operator Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Pit Loader Operator to join our team at The H&K Group. As a Pit Loader Operator, you will be responsible for loading, unloading, storing, transferring, distributing, and inventorying stone products and materials.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform all work according to MSHA and H&K Safety policies
  • Conduct pre and post trip inspections of equipment and complete daily inspection sheets
  • Operate loader to load and unload materials, ensuring safe and efficient operation
  • Provide excellent customer service to all customers on site
  • Maintain haul roads and stockpiles in a safe and organized manner
  • Perform routine maintenance on loader, including lubrication and cleaning
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience operating heavy equipment
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Ability to meet physical demands of the job
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 3 months related experience
  • Loader operation experience
  • Experience working in a quarry or heavy civil construction setting
  • MSHA or other relevant safety certification
