A Day In The Life

The roles and responsibilities of Data Analyst Interns may vary across different locations within Hubbell but typically include:

  • Reviewing existing program activities to identify improvement opportunities and provide strategic recommendations
  • Analyzing complex data sets, utilizing statistical techniques to draw meaningful conclusions
  • Developing and implementing data-driven analyses, collection systems, and strategies to optimize efficiency and quality
  • Gathering and maintaining primary and secondary data sources while ensuring database integrity
  • Leveraging Power BI and other tools to create informative reports and ensure data accuracy
  • Evaluating performance indicators and reports to detect issues and implement corrective measures
  • Utilizing automated tools to extract, clean, and organize data from various sources
  • Additional tasks assigned as needed

Project specifics will be outlined based on the assigned business group, location, and project scope. Expectations include working full-time at 40 hours/week with hourly compensation. Detailed expectations will be outlined dependent on the specific assignment.

Factors Contributing To Success In This Role
  • Candidates must currently pursue an accredited degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field
  • Basic understanding of accounting, pricing, and finance principles is necessary
  • A minimum GPA of 3.0 is required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment
