ProCare Therapy is seeking a skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our school-based team. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will play a crucial role in helping students develop effective communication skills and overcome speech and language challenges.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments to determine students' needs and progress.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to address speech, language, and communication disorders.
- Provide one-on-one and/or group therapy sessions to students in various settings, including classrooms and therapy rooms.
- Collaborate with teachers and school staff to integrate therapy goals into the classroom environment.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to provide progress updates and strategies for support at home.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of student progress and therapy sessions.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to goal setting and progress reporting.
- Stay current with best practices and research in speech-language pathology.
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
- Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred but not required.
- Experience working in a school setting or with school-aged children is a plus.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
- Passion for helping students succeed academically and socially.
