Cone Health is seeking a skilled Pediatric ICU Registered Nurse Float to join our team. As a Pediatric ICU RN Float, you will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive patient care in the Pediatric ICU, utilizing your expertise in pediatric critical care to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' conditions and needs, tailoring care plans based on individual diagnoses and medical histories.
- Respond promptly to emergencies and critical situations, offering immediate nursing care and assistance to stabilize patients.
- Assist with patient placements, admissions, and transfers, utilizing knowledge of bed allocation and capacity management to ensure optimal patient flow within the medical facility.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
Requirements:
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (Required)
- 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse (Required)
- 1 year of clinical specialty experience in pediatric critical care (Preferred)
- Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact state (Required)
- BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider (Required)
- ACLS-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider (Required for critical care areas)
