Nurse Practitioner

The Registered Nurse at Grand River Health provides high-quality patient care in the emergency room, working closely with the Emergency Department Director. This role involves triaging patients, determining priority of care, and developing patient care plans in conjunction with other medical professionals.
Responsibilities:
• Triage patients and determine priority of care based on physical, psychological, and social needs.
• Record patient histories, perform diagnostic tests, administer medications, and develop patient care plans in conjunction with other medical professionals.
• Assist physicians during examinations and emergency procedures, operating and monitoring medical equipment as necessary.
• Observe patients' progress, record observations in patient medical records, and update attending physicians directly when necessary.
Qualifications:
• Graduation from an accredited school of Nursing.
• Active license in the State of Colorado as an RN.
• Current BLS card within 3 months of initial employment and maintain current status throughout GRHD employment.
• ACLS, PALS or ENPC and TNCC certifications are required within 6 months of initial employment and must maintain current certification status throughout GRHD employment.
