At Union Hospital, we're committed to delivering exceptional patient care and innovative healthcare solutions. As a CareAware Application Analyst, you'll play a vital role in supporting our Cerner systems and ensuring seamless operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop, maintain, and support Cerner systems.
  • Provide expert evaluations of IT updates and revisions, establishing priorities and planning release schedules.
  • Offer exceptional support for day-to-day production issues, maintaining documentation in tracking systems and adhering to escalation and change control procedures.
  • Utilize EHR experience to enhance the build, support, and optimization of assigned EHR applications.
  • Work closely with Applications Analysts, departments, and technical teams to create and maintain application and workflow documentation.
  • Perform Application/Systems support and maintain relationships with vendors to understand current and future features and functionality.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Science, Computer Science, Informatics, or a Clinical-related field.
  • Three to five years of Cerner Clinical applications experience or other EHR implementation and/or support experience.
  • Extensive understanding of clinical operations and workflows within a healthcare system.
  • Experience with healthcare IT applications and knowledge of healthcare environment and system configuration.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) necessary to communicate effectively with associates at all levels.
  • Analytic skills and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Flexible work schedule to meet department needs, including potential on-call rotations.
