Revel IT is seeking a skilled Exactuals System Tester to join our team. As a hybrid tester, you will work on-site in Los Angeles, CA, on Mondays and Tuesdays, and remotely the rest of the week. Your primary responsibility will be to test the Exactuals residuals payable system to ensure accuracy, reliability, and compliance with industry regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive testing of the Exactuals system to ensure accuracy and reliability of payments.
  • Verify the system's ability to accurately calculate and distribute payments, preventing errors.
  • Test the system's user interface and functionality to ensure it is user-friendly and easy to navigate.
  • Test the system's performance and stability to ensure it can handle the expected workload and meet business needs.
  • Identify and document system defects, errors, or inconsistencies, and work with developers to resolve them.
  • Collaborate with the residuals team to understand their requirements and ensure the system meets their needs.
  • Report findings to relevant stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical, audit, and problem-solving skills required.
  • Basic accounting knowledge, including payment and reconciliations, is needed.
  • Proficiency in Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data validation.
  • 2-3 years of experience in accounting (accounts payable) or auditing is required.
  • Hard worker, enthusiastic, independent, and great communication skills.
  • Experience with accounting principles and practices, particularly in the entertainment industry.
  • Understanding of residuals calculations and distribution processes.
  • Experience with testing software applications, preferably in a financial or accounting context.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Nice to Have:

  • Knowledge of Exactuals or similar financial entertainment systems is a plus.
  • Having worked in systems, such as Exactuals or Paris, is a plus.
  • Experience with residuals is a plus.
  • Reconciliation skills are a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience with test automation tools is a plus.
  • Familiarity with residuals and guilds in the entertainment industry is a plus.
  • Experience with residual systems like PARIS or similar platforms is a plus.
