Welder Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our team at Morgan Truck Body LLC. As a Welder, you will be responsible for operating a variety of welding equipment and working with different materials, including aluminum, steel, and galvanneal.

• Weld metals according to customer or employer requirements
• Install lift gates, walk ramps, and platforms
• Ensure high safety measures while working
• Operate heavy equipment, such as industrial saws
• Examine equipment after welding and advise maintenance of defects
• Plan and set up welding operations
• Read blueprints and weld according to the plan
• Train junior and entry-level welders

• Must be able to pass a weld test
• Must be proficient in three or more of the welding materials: mild steel, galvanneal, carbon steel, aluminum, stainless steel
• Must have 3 years of welding experience or more
• Basic math, tape measurement, and computer skills
• Basic experience with hand tools
• Able to understand and comprehend measurement
• Able to read and interpret blueprints for special applications
• Must be 18 years old

• Previous experience in manufacturing
• Previous experience working on truck bodies
• High School Diploma or equivalent GED

This job operates in a manufacturing plant environment. While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to talk or hear. The team member frequently is required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms, and lift up to 35 pounds.
