Job Title: Telecommunications Field Specialist

Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per year (depending on location)

About the Job

We are seeking an experienced Telecommunications Field Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our field operations team, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing telecommunications equipment in various locations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Accessing specific areas to install and maintain telecommunications equipment
  • Building aerial plant, including running, lashing, and over-lashing cables
  • Climbing poles as needed and operating a bucket truck
  • Completing pole transfers and utilizing associated tools
  • Motivating crew members by being a team player
  • FOLLOWING safe work practices and adhering to OSHA/DOT standards
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Leading field teams and having critical thinking skills
  • Conflict resolution skills and good analytical skills
  • Ability to plan, predict, investigate, and find solutions
  • Strong work ethic and ability to lead by example
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and construction software
  • Excellent relationship building skills and ability to communicate clearly
  • Ability to travel to multiple sites and work independently
  • Reading and understanding construction maps, drawings, and diagrams
Minimum Requirements:
  • Being 21 or older and having a valid driver's license
  • Two plus years of experience as an aerial lineman with a fiber construction background
  • Passing a DOT physical and pre-employment drug test
  • A High School Diploma or GED
Preferred Requirements:
  • Being bi-lingual and having an undergraduate degree
  • Having Lineman Training (TVPPA) and able to splice coax
