We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at Wilson County Memorial Hospital District. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities- Provide front-office assistance, including telephone coverage, patient scheduling, and other administrative tasks.
- Interview patients, take vital signs, and record information on patient charts.
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations and assist with medical procedures.
- Inventory and order medical supplies and materials.
- Perform routine diagnostic tests, such as x-rays and EKGs, and administer injections or treatments.
- Register patients in required information systems and maintain accurate records.
- Schedule appointments, receive payments, and complete insurance forms.
- Key data into computer systems to maintain office and patient records.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Six months to one year of related experience and/or training.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Bilingual skills are preferred.
