Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate psychiatrist to provide mental health services to individuals within the community who may not have access to traditional healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations to assess patients' mental health needs, including diagnostic interviews, reviewing medical histories, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to patients' unique needs, incorporating medication management, therapy, and other interventions as appropriate.
  • Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications, adjusting dosages and treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes and minimize side effects.
  • Provide psychotherapy and counseling services to patients using evidence-based approaches such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and supportive therapy.
  • Coordinate with other members of the healthcare team, including therapists, social workers, case managers, and primary care providers, to ensure integrated and comprehensive care for patients.
  • Participate in community outreach efforts to raise awareness about mental health issues, reduce stigma, and promote access to services within underserved populations.
Requirements
  • Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
  • Board certification or eligibility in psychiatry.
  • Active state medical license and DEA registration.
  • Experience working in community mental health settings preferred.
  • Strong clinical skills and knowledge of evidence-based treatments.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Commitment to cultural competence and serving diverse populations.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as a part of a multidisciplinary team.
