About the Role

We are seeking an Economics Instructor to join our faculty at Northwestern Michigan College. This is a part-time position teaching economics courses, including Principles of Macroeconomics and Principles of Microeconomics.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and teach economics courses, including lectures, discussions, and assessments.
  • Foster student learning and engagement through various strategies, such as active learning activities, debates, and presentations.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and grades.
  • Participate in curriculum development, revision, and evaluation.
  • Engage in professional development to enhance teaching effectiveness and knowledge of emerging technologies.

Requirements

  • Master's degree or higher in Economics, or 18 graduate credits in Economics.
  • Successful experience teaching economics courses at a college level.
  • Experience with online course delivery preferred.

Salary Information

The estimated salary for this position is $40-$50 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience. Benefits include tuition remission, free museum admission, and bookstore discounts.
