Job Summary

The Maintenance Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the safety and functionality of our production equipment, facilities, and grounds. This position requires a high level of technical expertise, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Remove and install machine components to ensure safe and efficient operation of production equipment
  • Remove and replace molds for daily operation
  • Troubleshoot systems to determine causes of machine failure and recommend solutions for repair
  • Collaborate closely with machine operators to understand the nature of machine failures or component fabrication needs
  • Design, fabricate, and weld machine components or fixtures to ensure proper functionality of facility equipment
  • Record details of machine malfunctions and required adjustments
  • Conduct test runs of machine adjustments to ensure proper machine functionality and alignment with quality standards
  • Perform routine analyses and calculations, and recommend changes in equipment, products, or test methods
  • Maintain cleanliness, functionality, and safety of maintenance equipment, tools, and work areas
  • Repair building and grounds equipment, fixtures, and tools as necessary to ensure safety of all employees
  • Perform preventative maintenance and inspections on facility equipment as scheduled (CMMS)
  • Follow DAS (daily assignment schedule)
  • Clean and prepare machines for next day's run, including mixer
  • Machine and robot start-up before production
Requirements
  • High school graduate or GED desired
  • Able to speak and comprehend basic English
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred
  • Concrete knowledge is preferred
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Working at heights about 4 ft. (on ladders and/or platforms) is common
  • Environmental conditions involve generally indoor work, but frequently working around very hot equipment and in tight spaces (not confined)
