Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team at Mercy Rehabilitation Hospital. As a key member of our rehabilitation team, you will play a vital role in helping patients recover from strokes, brain or spinal cord injuries, amputations, complex orthopedic injuries, and other conditions.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with initial assessments and comprehensive individualized treatment programs for patients of all age ranges.
  • Document patient care progress, including progress notes and continuing need for treatment.
  • Administer appropriate modalities, exercise regimes, or treatment procedures according to departmental policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
  • Participate in promoting education within the department.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of special needs and behaviors of specific age groups.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapist Assistant program.
  • Current Oklahoma license for Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant or eligible for Oklahoma licensure.
  • One year of experience preferred, but new graduates will be considered.
  • BLS certification required.
