We are seeking a highly skilled Family Medicine Physician to join our Primary Care Health Team at the La Junta VA Clinic in La Junta, CO. As a member of our interdisciplinary care team, you will provide comprehensive care to our Veteran population, including the diagnosis, care, and treatment of acute and chronic conditions.
Responsibilities- Provide high-quality, patient-centered care to a panel of approximately 450 patients
- Work collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals, including RNs, LPNs, and Medical Support Assistants
- Diagnose and treat a range of conditions, including diabetes, hypertension, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, and chronic pain
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes
- Board certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
- 3+ years of experience in primary care
- Current, active, and unencumbered US State Medical License
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Competitive salary range: $200,000 - $243,000 per year
- Biennial longevity pay increases
- Annual performance pay bonus up to $15,000 or 7.5% of salary
- 26 days of vacation with pay, 13 days sick leave, and 11 federal holidays observed
- Health, dental, vision, and life insurance with premiums partially offset or paid by the government
- Retirement plans, including Federal Employee Retirement System (DB) and Thrift Savings Plan (DC) with 5% matching
