Access Triage Nurse Coordinator

We are seeking a skilled Access Triage Nurse Coordinator to join our team at Carrier Clinic. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth admission process for patients.
Key Responsibilities- Perform triage assessments and gather clinical information for Physician/LIP
- Assist LIP's with medical clearances and coordinate admission activities
- Review and triage incoming patients, identifying critical situations requiring immediate clinical response
- Communicate patient problems and difficulties with LIP, and assist with admission or referral when necessary
- Assess and intervene in emergency situations, directing the response of other staff and notifying administrative staff or rescue squad as needed
- Graduation from an accredited RN program
- Ability to write reports and manuals, and effectively present information to others
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in computer systems including Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite
- BSN or MSN degree
- Minimum one year experience in an acute care psychiatric setting or substance abuse facility
- Previous experience as a NJ screener or in admissions
- NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License
- AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification or completed within the first 90 days of employment
