Job Summary

Responsibilities
  • Provide routine and complex care to patients in the Labor and Delivery Department, utilizing the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, intervene, and evaluate patient care.
  • Develop and implement individualized plans of care, incorporating evidence-based practice and patient-centered care principles.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination and patient satisfaction.
  • Participate in unit operations, including planning, directing, and evaluating nursing care and functions during assigned shifts.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure safe practice, quality care, and regulatory compliance.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest medical equipment, technology, and best practices in the field of Labor and Delivery nursing.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, preferred.
  • 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty, preferred.
  • Current certification from NCC Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM) or one of the following AWHONN courses: For new graduates and experienced nurses new to the specialty, certification must be obtained within 4 months of hire and maintained thereafter.
