Lateral Police Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Police Officer to join our team at the City of El Paso, TX. As a Police Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining law and order, preventing and investigating crimes, and providing excellent customer service to the community.
Key Responsibilities- Patrol designated areas to prevent and detect crimes, and to enforce traffic laws and regulations.
- Respond to emergency calls and provide assistance to the public, including mediating disputes and providing first aid when necessary.
- Conduct investigations into reported crimes, gather evidence, and interview witnesses and suspects.
- Prepare and submit reports on investigations and other police activities.
- Testify in court as required.
- Perform related duties as required, including maintaining equipment and supplies, and participating in in-service training.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 12 semester hours of credit in any field of study from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum of 3 years of patrol duty experience while employed full-time by a state, county, or municipal police department, college or school police department, or sheriff's department.
- 21 years of age or older.
- Valid U.S. driver's license.
- U.S. citizenship.
- Texas State Peace Officer License or eligibility for same.
- State-certified law enforcement officer currently employed by a state, county, or municipal police or sheriff's department.
This position requires working in a fast-paced environment, with frequent exposure to stress, danger, and physical demands. The successful candidate must be able to work effectively in a team environment and maintain a high level of professionalism at all times.
LanguageThis position requires fluency in English.
