Lead RF Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior RF Systems Engineer to join our team at Chenega MIOS SBU. As a Principal Radar Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing new capabilities used by tracking radars.
Key Responsibilities- Design and Development: Design, develop, and execute new capabilities used by tracking radars.
- System Modeling and Analysis: Perform complex system modeling, simulation, and analysis to provide the most appropriate technical solution.
- Project Execution: Plan, conduct, and assist the project manager in the execution of engineering projects.
- Technical Coordination: Coordinate the efforts of technical support personnel for assigned projects.
- Customer Interface: Analyze, develop, recommend, and implement approaches to meet customer requirements. Serve as an interface for project information to internal management and the customers.
- Leadership and Guidance: Provide leadership and work guidance to less experienced personnel.
- System Restoration: Provide expertise to restore operational systems.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or another STEM-related field.
- Experience: 5+ years of relevant radar engineering experience to include:
- RF Experience: Experience working with RF, including local oscillators, doublers, mixers, and attenuators.
- Radar Systems: Working knowledge of monopulse radar tracking systems and/or shipboard radar systems is a plus.
- RF Amplifiers: Experience working with high-power tube and solid-state RF amplifiers.
- C-band Systems: Experience with C-band pulsed Doppler tracking and wideband coherent imaging systems is desired.
- Clearance: Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance, which includes U.S. citizenship.
- Legacy Radar Systems: Familiar with legacy range radar types (AN/FPQ-6, AN/FPQ-14, AN/FPS-16, etc.) is desired.
- Antenna Tracking Systems: Working knowledge of antenna tracking systems.
- Digital Interface Design: Experience with digital interface design, including familiarization with interface modules, cable/wire types, and connector systems.
- Hardware Systems Integration: Experience with hardware systems integration and testing.
- Technical Writing: Proficient in technical writing for development of technical reports, White Papers, and other technical support documentation.
- Computer Systems: Experience with computer systems including single-board (SBCs), servers, and workstations.
- Operating Systems: Familiarization with the Linux and Windows Operating systems.
- CAD Software: Proficient with M/S Office tool suite and CAD software.
