Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiac Sonographer III to join our team at Sutter Health. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing high-complexity cardiac sonography procedures to assess cardiac structures and hemodynamics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic cardiac sonography procedures of high complexity, including adult congenital heart echocardiograms and cardiac research projects.
  • Responsible for all commonly performed echocardiography procedures in the department with a high level of competence.
  • May also be responsible for performing specific procedures and/or orienting other staff to the department.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited Cardiac Sonography Program.
  • Certification in Cardiac Sonography (RCS, ACS, or ARDMS) or equivalent.
  • 5 years of recent relevant experience in cardiac sonography.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced knowledge of diagnostic cardiac sonography principles, procedures, views, and equipment.
  • Skilled in performing cardiac sonographic examinations with an extensive understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize assignments and work within standardized operating procedures and scientific methods.
