Role OverviewWe're seeking a highly skilled Senior RF Test Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our payload team, you will be responsible for developing test solutions for automated testing of RF and mixed signal hardware. Your expertise will be crucial in characterizing and calibrating the performance of Astranis radio subsystems, ensuring they meet the required specifications.
Key Responsibilities- Develop test solutions for automated testing of RF and mixed signal hardware
- Characterize and calibrate the performance of Astranis radio subsystems
- Develop and manage test plans, coordinating with hardware engineers to ensure testing validates design requirements
- Develop and utilize Python libraries for interfacing with test instruments, units under test, and results processing
- Validate and qualify hardware designs for space environments, interpreting results and providing feedback to the hardware designers
- Assist in recruiting, interviewing, and hiring additional teammates to our rapidly-growing team
- Bachelor of Science degree in EE, CS (or equivalent background knowledge)
- 6+ years of relevant experience
- Experience with object-oriented programming in Python (or other high-level scripting languages)
- Experience taking measurements on RF and mixed signal devices with standard test equipment
- 2+ years of experience testing communications or RF systems
- Experience with test automation
- Experience designing PCBs using Altium or similar
Astranis offers a competitive compensation package that includes equity and robust benefits. Our pay ranges are informed and defined through professional-grade salary surveys and compensation data sources.
The actual base salary offered to a successful candidate will be influenced by a variety of factors, including experience, credentials & certifications, educational attainment, skill level requirements, and the level and scope of the position.
Base Salary $150,000—$225,000 USD
U.S. Citizenship, Lawful Permanent Residency, or Refugee/Asylee Status Required
