Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Internal Auditor to join our team at AHMC Healthcare. As a Junior Internal Auditor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial and operational processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Audit timecards for compensation of missed meals, missed breaks, and payroll errors to ensure compliance with regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Document audit tests, findings, and follow through with recommendations to payroll staff and management.
  • Check status change forms for accuracy, authorization, and compliance with pay practices and HR policies and procedures.
  • Familiar with wage and hour regulations and company policies and procedures.
  • Compile and summarize reports submitted by AHMC hospitals.
  • Audit Year-End Physical inventory count.
  • Review for appropriate authorization(s) for payments on accounts payable.
  • Review fixed assets schedules for accuracy.
  • Review month-end accruals and prepaids for accuracy.
  • Coordinate with hospitals accounting for audit/review data requests.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
  • A minimum of one year of auditing or accounting experience. Healthcare experience preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA and privacy regulations.
  • Possess excellent communication (oral and written) and customer service skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external resources.
  • Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects with accuracy and efficiency, while meeting established deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Must possess excellent human relation skills.
  • Must possess excellent critical thinking skills.
  • Possess strong organizational skills with ability to multi-task, and prioritize workload.
  • Ability to interpret, prepare, and present reports to management in both written and oral formats.
  • Ability to make presentations, design and provide training education to staff and management.
