We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Neuro Trauma Med-Surg unit at St. Mary's Regional Hospital in Grand Junction, Colorado.

You will be working in a fast-paced clinical setting with a diverse patient population requiring specialized medical care. Your expertise will help us continue to provide exceptional care as a leading Comprehensive Stroke Center and Neuro Trauma Med-Surg unit.

  • Deliver high-quality patient care: Utilize the nursing process, technology, and evidence-based practices to provide therapeutic interventions and ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams: Work closely with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Patient Assessment: Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with neuro trauma and surgical needs, identifying their unique requirements and developing personalized care plans.
  • Care Planning: Develop and implement care plans that address the complex medical needs of patients, ensuring seamless communication among healthcare teams.
  • Implementation of Care: Provide direct patient care, administering medications, performing procedures, and monitoring patients' responses to treatment.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient interactions, treatments, and outcomes using Epic electronic health record system.
  • Continuing Education: Participate in ongoing education and training opportunities to stay current with best practices and advancements in neuro trauma and surgical nursing.
