CNC Machinist

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team at Freeman Boatworks. As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for operating computer-controlled machinery to cut and shape fiberglass components for our high-performance boats.

Key Responsibilities:

• Upload correct files to machines to cut kits for builds
• Place correct materials in correct boxes
• Monitor kit availability and needed materials
• Load correct materials onto machine

Requirements:

• Previous CNC operator or Eastman machinery experience preferred
• Previous experience with engineering preferred
• Experience working with fiberglass or in auto body repair helpful
• Familiarity with mixing gel coats and/or paint with activators
• Good working knowledge of repair tools (sanders, buffers, spray equipment)
• Detail-oriented, able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Physical Demands:

• Lifting up to 50 lbs
• Climbing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, stretching, squatting, and bending
• Standing/walking 8+ hours per day
• May require working in awkward positions or tight spaces for extended periods of time
• Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment
• Exposed to heat, cold, dust, fumes, and some outside weather conditions
