About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Gear Machinist to join our growing team in Prophetstown, Illinois.

Job Summary

This is a full-time position on the 1st shift from Monday to Thursday, working hours of 6:00am to 4:00pm. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating CNC Lathes and/or Mills, programming machines to customer specifications, conducting tooling changes and changing offsets accordingly, as well as operating manual and automatic bandsaws.

Responsibilities
  • Operate and program CNC machinery to produce high-quality gears.
  • Read and interpret customer blueprints and specifications.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on equipment.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to meet production targets.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • A minimum of 1-2 years' experience working in a similar role.
  • Diploma or equivalent qualification in a relevant field.
  • Familiarity with micrometers, calipers, and drop indicators.
  • Ability to read and interpret prints.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
