We are seeking a skilled Acquisition Analyst to contribute to our project team.

As an Acquisition Analyst, your role will involve supporting a centralized capability that delivers acquisition support services across our client, its Program Management Offices (PMOs), and the Federal Electronic Health Record Modernization (FEHRM) office. This position presents an exciting, mission-driven opportunity to enhance care delivery through a suite of innovative products aimed at improving clinical, business, and analytical functions within the DoD patient experience.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with government program and product stakeholders, contracting specialists, and fellow acquisition professionals who will provide guidance, input, or assistance. The project team will offer advisory support on specific initiatives and long-term transformation objectives.

The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational and communication skills, with a keen attention to detail and a proactive mindset. You should be capable of working independently while also demonstrating the ability to navigate challenges with determination. Prioritizing tasks effectively and adapting to rapidly changing priorities will be essential for success in this position. Experience with various delivery methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall, is advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:

This role's responsibilities will evolve dynamically as part of a cohesive, integrated, agile team. All acquisition analysts will be expected to support various aspects of the following duties as assigned or required by different acquisition actions prioritized by the platform leader and other senior stakeholders.

  • Compile input and draft monthly acquisition platform summaries for key client acquisition stakeholders.
  • Generate and distribute backlog reports every three weeks.
  • Initiate tracking of key acquisition metrics and develop a dashboard for sharing on client SharePoint.
  • Conduct data analysis to proactively identify acquisition schedule needs.
  • Monitor stakeholder progress to ensure adherence to schedule requirements.
  • Enhance and troubleshoot the acquisition platform SharePoint and planning tools.
  • Manage centralized document storage and knowledge capture systems.
  • Drive continuous improvement in backlog capture and reporting processes.
  • Identify opportunities for process and reporting enhancements and execute agreed-upon initiatives.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • A Bachelor's degree is required; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and Agile tools such as Jira and Trello is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with SharePoint, PowerBI, and PowerPoint is essential.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Capability to manage multiple and fragmented responsibilities simultaneously.
  • A minimum of five years of professional experience in acquisition or contracting support is required.
  • Professional experience and/or training/certification in Agile and/or Scrum methodologies.
  • Familiarity with FAR/DFAR requirements and supporting documentation (CDRLs, CPARS, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of common contract structures (FFP, Cost-plus, incentive structures, etc.) and demonstrated ability to leverage different components for improved outcomes.
  • Experience with contract competitions, requirements vetting processes, and other elements of the end-to-end process to nurture, refine, and enhance ideas.
  • A proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
  • Knowledge and experience with software systems and supporting programs/services.
  • Experience in program, project, and/or product management for acquisition efforts.
  • Leadership experience in the successful planning and completion of acquisition milestones.
  • Experience in navigating contract protests.
Additional Desires:
  • Five to eight years of relevant experience in acquisitions or contract management.
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance or eligibility is preferred.
  • Previous experience supporting DoD or Federal government agencies is advantageous.
  • PMP, PgMP, or other project management certifications are desirable.
  • Military or veteran hiring preference is considered.
Preferred work location is flexible with a hybrid work schedule (2-3 days per week onsite) and potential for occasional travel to client headquarters.
