We are seeking a skilled Refrigeration Technician to join our team at E & E Foods in Egegik, Alaska.
Job Summary:The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing refrigeration equipment, including blast cells, tunnels, ice machines, and RSW systems. They will also assist with the operation of ammonia or Freon refrigeration systems and maintain current and accurate documentation of refrigeration and maintenance activities.

- Developing familiarity with and carrying out all tasks in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs), OSHA standards, environmental compliance requirements, and emergency response procedures.
- Collaborating with the safety manager to identify and mitigate potential safety hazards in the workplace.
- 3 years' experience as a refrigeration technician.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must show availability to work in the USA.
- Able to work with minimal supervision.
- Able to take direction and respond to feedback.
- Able to work in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and work for 12+ hours, 7 days a week.
- General knowledge of mechanical fields and skills (hydraulic, pneumatic, plumbing, fabricating, etc.).
- Experience with ammonia refrigeration systems.
- EPA 608 certification recommended.
The work environment is weather-dependent, ranging from warm and sunny to cold, windy, and wet. Working outdoors in a remote environment is not for everyone, and candidates should understand their limitations.
Hours of Work:The season runs from May to August. Hours and days of work are entirely dependent upon the Alaska Department of Fish & Game's announced fishing openings, which are determined by pre-/mid-season predictions and actual fish movement.
Living Conditions:Housing will have an own room but shared bathroom facilities. There are no healthcare options readily accessible. There is no cellphone signal and limited internet available. Communication is very limited.
