About the Job
We are seeking dedicated and flexible substitute teachers to join our team at the Steamboat Child Care Center. As a substitute teacher, you will be responsible for supporting classroom teachers and assistant teachers by supervising and caring for children in the child care center. This role requires flexibility, knowledge of child development, and the ability to maintain a safe and engaging environment for children. You will also be required to perform daily child care duties as assigned, including feeding, diapers/potty, and naps. Other responsibilities may include helping in other classrooms as needed, ensuring compliance with all legal requirements, maintaining confidentiality, and working cooperatively on a team with other teaching professionals.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have 2 years of previous work history/education and be willing to train the right person. You must also demonstrate an interest in young children and a concern for their proper care and well-being. Additionally, you should be able to maintain professional communication with parents, supervisors, and other staff members. A high school diploma or GED equivalent is also required.
