Role: Substance Use Disorder Counselor - Outpatient MAT

Work Schedule: Full Time, Monday to Friday, 9 am - 5 pm

Our counseling professionals deliver empathetic and high-quality therapeutic services to individuals seeking recovery from Opioid Use Disorder.

Your Role as a Substance Use Disorder Counselor:

The Substance Use Disorder Counselor plays a crucial role in facilitating patient recovery from opioid use disorder. Counselors provide compassionate care through various formats, including individual and group therapy sessions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver compassionate and high-quality guidance in both individual and group therapy settings.
  • Plan, manage, and document patient recovery processes.
  • Co-facilitate group or family therapy sessions as required.
  • Ensure timely and clear documentation of patient care, treatment, and incidents.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans for each patient.
  • Conduct initial and follow-up assessments.
  • Assess patient needs and determine the necessity for referrals to additional programs or facilities.
  • Plan aftercare for assigned patients as needed.
  • Provide crisis intervention support to patients when necessary.
  • Perform case management duties to ensure personalized quality care.
  • Act as a liaison between patients and referral sources as needed.
Required Education and Qualifications:
  • A Master's degree in a social or health services field is mandatory.
  • The degree must be obtained from an accredited institution.
  • Prior experience and knowledge in addiction recovery and/or medication-assisted treatment environments are essential.
Licenses/Certifications:
  • If the candidate does not possess a Master's degree, one of the following certifications is required:
    • CAC, CAS, CADAC, CRC, LADC, LICSW, LCSW, LMHC, LMFT
