Housekeeping Assistant

The Housekeeper / Laundry Aide will provide a safe environment, give emotional and social support, and attend to the resident's physical needs and comfort. This role involves performing direct care to residents as assigned, in accordance with the resident's care plan, and as directed by the Supervisor.
Key Responsibilities- Provide a safe and comfortable environment for residents
- Assist with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Prepare and serve meals and snacks
- Assist with laundry and housekeeping duties
- Monitor and report any changes in resident condition
- Follow established health, sanitary, and infection control policies
- Current registry of certification to work as a Nursing Assistant in good standing
- High school graduate or equivalent
- At least 18 years old (if 16 years old, must currently be in high school)
- Ability to communicate in English and follow verbal and written instructions
- Good interpersonal skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work with supervisors, co-workers, and community staff
- Ability to observe proper safety and sanitary techniques
- Previous experience in long-term care
