Respiratory Therapist

Cleveland Clinic is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team of dedicated healthcare professionals. As a Registered Respiratory Therapist, you will provide evidence-based clinical care to critically ill patients, working in a variety of inpatient settings including critical care, obstetrics, ED, and behavioral health.
The ideal candidate will have a graduate degree from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program, be registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care, and hold Ohio Respiratory Care Professional Board licensure. A minimum of one year of experience in critical care is preferred, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Care.
Responsibilities will include:
- Providing assessment, treatment, care, and evaluation to patients with respiratory insufficiencies
- Directing respiratory caregivers for delivery of care
- Implementing and monitoring patient care plans
- Assessing patients for the appropriate type and frequency of treatment and developing, implementing, and monitoring patient care plans
- Monitoring, recording, and communicating patients' conditions
- Performing advanced respiratory care modalities, evaluating respiratory practice, administering medications and treatments, and performing blood gas puncture and analysis
- Educating patients and families about the illness and providing information about community support groups and other programs

Physical Requirements:
Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination. Normal hearing and vision or corrected to normal range. May require sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods of time.
