Job Summary

The University of Miami School of Nursing and Health Studies seeks a highly skilled Research Biostatistician to join our team. As a key member of our research faculty, you will collaborate closely with tenured and tenure-track faculty to support grant and manuscript submissions that advance our research mission.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead biostatistical writing plans and reviews for grants
  • Collaborate with faculty to obtain research funding for trans-disciplinary research
  • Submit NIH grants as biostatistician or PI in topics related to health equity and health disparities
  • Present research findings at professional meetings
  • Publish research findings in refereed, high-impact, peer-reviewed journals
Qualifications
  • PhD degree with specific graduate training in biostatistics or a related field
  • Advanced skills and experience with statistical epidemiology, intervention studies, and molecular epidemiology
  • Advanced skills in data management and statistical analysis
  • Ability to recognize, analyze, and solve complex problems
  • Strong programming skills, especially with R and SAS
  • Experience working with cluster computing servers
