About the Role

Advocate Aurora Health is seeking a skilled Vascular Sonographer to join our team. As a Vascular Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing a variety of ultrasound exams, including abdominal, OB/GYN, and vascular studies. You will work closely with our radiologists to ensure accurate and high-quality images for diagnostic assessment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform ultrasound exams on patients, including abdominal, OB/GYN, and vascular studies.
  • Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, including transducers and other related equipment.
  • Assist radiologists with procedures, including amniocentesis, thoracentesis, biopsies, and other related procedures.
  • Document patient history and images for analysis and interpretation.
  • Participate in the department's QA program and accreditation process.
Requirements
  • Associates degree in Allied Health or Bachelor of Science degree in Allied Health Science preferred.
  • Typically requires 1 year experience in Abdomen and OB/GYN and 1 year experience in Vascular exams.
  • Medical Sonographer (RDMS) registration with Abdomen issued by the American Registry of Diagnostic Med Sonography (ARDMS) needs to be obtained within 3 months.
  • Medical Sonographer (RDMS) registration with OB/GYN issued by the American Registry of Diagnostic Med Sonography (ARDMS) needs to be obtained within 3 months.
  • Vascular Technologist (RVT) registration issued by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) needs to be obtained within 3 months.
