Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Cardinal Health. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient dispensing of radiopharmaceuticals to medical care providers.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare prescriptions by typing labels and obtaining Staff Pharmacist approval
- Draw doses into syringes or vials
- Perform quality assurance tests on instruments and radiopharmaceuticals
- Receive, document, and store incoming and outgoing pharmaceuticals
- Maintain computer inventory and records
- Assist and/or perform in the labeling of blood cell products
- Perform general laboratory and facility clean up
- May perform clerical and administrative services
- Make deliveries to accounts as needed
- Speak with customers and address questions and/or concerns
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent, or equivalent work experience
- State Pharmacy Technician license or national pharmacy technician registration/license required
- Previous experience working as a Pharmacy Technician is highly preferred
- Past IV experience is a plus
- Valid driver's license and good driving record required
- Minimum of 18 years of age due to driving of company owned vehicle
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs required
- Strong verbal and written communication skills required
- Strong customer service skills required
Working Conditions
- Works under close supervision
- All work is reviewed for accuracy
- Any deviations from the norm are approved by the supervisor before proceeding
