Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Cardinal Health. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient dispensing of radiopharmaceuticals to medical care providers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare prescriptions by typing labels and obtaining Staff Pharmacist approval
  • Draw doses into syringes or vials
  • Perform quality assurance tests on instruments and radiopharmaceuticals
  • Receive, document, and store incoming and outgoing pharmaceuticals
  • Maintain computer inventory and records
  • Assist and/or perform in the labeling of blood cell products
  • Perform general laboratory and facility clean up
  • May perform clerical and administrative services
  • Make deliveries to accounts as needed
  • Speak with customers and address questions and/or concerns

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent, or equivalent work experience
  • State Pharmacy Technician license or national pharmacy technician registration/license required
  • Previous experience working as a Pharmacy Technician is highly preferred
  • Past IV experience is a plus
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record required
  • Minimum of 18 years of age due to driving of company owned vehicle
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs required
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required
  • Strong customer service skills required

Working Conditions

  • Works under close supervision
  • All work is reviewed for accuracy
  • Any deviations from the norm are approved by the supervisor before proceeding
