Job Description

We take pride in delivering exceptional guest service and a welcoming environment for both visitors and employees. As a Prep Cook/Dishwasher, you will prepare meal ingredients, simple dishes, condiments, and other items as directed by senior culinary staff and wash dishes according to all safety guidelines for cleanliness.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare meal ingredients, such as fresh produce, meat, and breads or salads.
  • Mix or prepare condiments, dressings, and sauces.
  • Maintain compliance with applicable health, safety, food handling, and hygiene codes and standards.
  • Assist with unloading, inspection, and storage of raw ingredients and supplies.
  • Clean all wares, including pots, pans, flatware, and glasses, by hand or using dishwashers.
  • Stock serving stations, cupboards, refrigerators, and other assigned areas with necessary dishes and utensils.
Requirements
  • BASIC UNDERSTANDING OF OR THE ABILITY TO LEARN BASIC SANITATION AND REGULATIONS FOR WORKPLACE SAFETY.
  • BASIC UNDERSTANDING OF OR THE ABILITY TO LEARN FOOD HANDLING TECHNIQUES, PREPARATION, AND COOKING PROCEDURES.
  • Able to work quickly and efficiently in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
  • Able to work well as part of a team.
  • Able to maintain personal hygiene.
  • Able to understand and follow directions.
  • Able to remain alert and focused in an environment that is noisy and fast-paced.
Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods walking or standing.
  • Lifting, carrying, and placing up to 60 to 100 pounds at a time.
  • Working days, nights, weekends, and/or holidays as needed.
  • Bending, stooping, and wiping frequently.
  • Immersion of hands in water.
  • Exposure to extreme heat, steam, and cold present in a kitchen environment.
