At The Children's Home of Reading Youth & Family Services, we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Full-Time Kitchen Staff member. This role plays a vital part in ensuring the well-being and nourishment of our residents by preparing and serving meals in a safe, clean, and healthy environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare and cook meals for residents, adhering to high standards of quality, safety, and hygiene.
  2. Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, utensils, and surroundings to prevent contamination and ensure a clean working environment.
  3. Assist with food storage, inventory management, and ordering supplies as needed.
  4. Develop and implement meal planning strategies that cater to diverse dietary needs and preferences.

Requirements:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Prior experience in cooking, food preparation, or a related field is essential.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as scheduled.
  • Willingness to adapt to changing circumstances and prioritize tasks effectively.
