Key Responsibilities
In this position, you will work alongside a diverse group of professionals to tackle intricate information technology challenges, improve user experiences, and provide significant value to the university community. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Offering direct support for research computing initiatives, assisting faculty, research personnel, and graduate students.
  • Delivering technical assistance for new and ongoing research projects that utilize advanced computing technologies.
  • Developing and implementing innovative technical solutions while maintaining high-performance computing (HPC) systems.
  • Creating and conducting training programs to enhance the research community's understanding of HPC and related technologies.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:

  • A Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in IT, computational science, or high-performance computing.
  • Advanced proficiency in Linux/Unix systems and experience with open-source software in HPC environments.
  • Strong skills in programming languages such as C/C++, Python, or MATLAB, along with Unix/Linux shell scripting.
  • Excellent communication abilities to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications
Additional qualifications that would be advantageous include:

  • A Doctorate in a relevant field.
  • Experience in product management or consulting within IT and computational science.
  • Expertise in container technologies and cloud computing solutions.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects effectively and develop positive relationships with stakeholders.
