Job Title: Prep Cook

At 604 Hospitality Group, we are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Prep Cook to join our team. As a Prep Cook, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen by preparing ingredients, maintaining inventory, and supporting our culinary team.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a positive attendance record and adhere to company time off and illness procedures.
  • Follow all sanitation and safety standards, maintaining a score of 90% or better on all audits.
  • Meet uniform, appearance, and grooming standards as specified in the Employee Handbook and Line Cook Training Manual.
  • Determine par levels for daily needs and accurately prepare and communicate the prep list, minimizing waste.
  • Prepare and verify menu items according to company quality standards, ensuring 100% accuracy.
  • Maintain the kitchen by sanitizing prep areas and ensuring all knives and critical equipment are clean.
  • Monitor side dish ingredients and report inventory levels to the Chef or Sous Chef.
  • Work with wait staff to ensure accurate orders and side dishes.
  • Prepare ingredients for main, side, and dessert dishes, accommodating special requests.
  • Receive and accurately store all purchase orders.
  • Follow end-of-shift checkout procedures with 100% accuracy.
  • Maintain a good team environment by assisting colleagues with station duties and side-work when needed.
Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and evenings.
  • Must be able to read and communicate in English clearly and effectively.
  • Must have the ability to lift pots, pans, products, and other items weighing up to 50 pounds frequently.
  • Must be able to perform simple math calculations and understand units and measures.
  • Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for the duration of a scheduled shift.
  • Must have the ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Must have the ability to lift, stoop, and bend.
  • Must exhibit hand coordination and dexterity for rapid productions.
