Family Law Attorney Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Family Law Attorney to join our dynamic team at Jobot. As a Family Law Attorney, you will be responsible for managing family law cases from beginning to end, handling divorce, custody, child support, and other related family law matters.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage all aspects of family law matters, including divorce, custody, child support, visitation rights, and domestic violence.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, and negotiations, ensuring their rights and interests are effectively advocated for.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents, including pleadings, motions, orders, and agreements.
  • Conduct in-depth legal research to support case preparation and strategy development.
  • Provide clients with sound legal advice and guidance, ensuring they are fully informed about their rights, obligations, and options.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of developments in family law, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues, clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel, maintaining a high level of professionalism at all times.
Requirements:
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • A minimum of 1+ years of experience in litigation, with a preference for family law.
  • A proven track record in handling divorce, custody, child support, and other related matters.
  • Current license to practice law in the state.
  • Exceptional litigation skills, with experience in representing clients in court proceedings, mediations, and negotiations.
  • Strong legal research and writing skills, with the ability to draft, review, and negotiate complex legal documents.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to provide clients with clear, concise, and compassionate legal advice.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism, with a commitment to upholding the highest standards of legal practice.
  • Ability to manage a large caseload, prioritizing tasks effectively to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality work under pressure.
