Role Overview:
As the Pharmacy Manager, you will lead the pharmacy team, driving departmental sales and ensuring outstanding customer service to achieve profitability objectives.
Your responsibilities will include accurately processing prescriptions, managing associated documentation, and addressing customer inquiries regarding medication usage.
You will also work closely with healthcare providers and insurance companies to gather and confirm essential customer data.Key Responsibilities:
1. Recruit, train, and mentor pharmacy staff.
2. Organize and supervise daily operational tasks.
3. Conduct performance evaluations and manage staff recognition and disciplinary actions.
4. Develop and maintain work schedules.
5. Resolve partner complaints and operational challenges.
6. Implement inventory management processes to ensure optimal stock levels.
7. Analyze financial performance, including profit and loss, sales, and labor metrics.
8. Provide management with verbal or written reports on relevant issues.
9. Ensure accurate prescription filling according to established protocols.
10. Maintain comprehensive documentation for insurance billing.
11. Administer immunizations and participate in community health initiatives.
12. Ensure compliance with legal and company standards regarding security and confidentiality.
13. Foster a welcoming and customer-centric atmosphere.
14. Build and sustain professional relationships with local healthcare providers.
15. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
16. Exhibit strong organizational and prioritization skills.
17. Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
18. Communicate effectively with customers and team members.
19. Adapt to new technologies and processes.
20. Display a courteous and customer-focused demeanor.
21. Be flexible with scheduling, including evenings and weekends.
Qualifications:
1. In-depth knowledge of pharmacy operations.
2. Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree required.
3. Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) certification required.
4. Valid Pennsylvania Pharmacist License.
5. Current Pennsylvania Immunization License.
