Job Summary

The Team Leader Medical Assistant plays a critical role in supporting the leadership team to ensure consistency and competence in facilitating Medical Assistant new hire orientation training and job responsibilities. This position requires a strong knowledge of Medical Assistant clinic workflows, standard processes, and provider-directed patient care, as well as the ability to communicate effectively among clinical staff and physicians.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the leadership team in ensuring consistency and competence in Medical Assistant new hire orientation training and job responsibilities.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of Medical Assistant clinic workflows, standard processes, and provider-directed patient care.
  • Provide training and education to Medical Assistants on clinic workflows, standard processes, and provider-directed patient care.
  • Communicate effectively among clinical staff and physicians.
  • Be available for flexible scheduling and work in various locations.
  • Support the mission, values, and management of WakeMed Physician Practices.

Requirements

  • 1 year of clinical experience in ambulatory care.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certified Medical Assistant or Registered Medical Assistant.
