We are seeking a Helicopter Maintenance Specialist responsible for ensuring the maintenance and safety of our helicopter fleet across various locations. This role is crucial for maintaining our AS350 and EC130 helicopters, enabling our team to provide safe and efficient transportation services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct maintenance tasks including mechanical inspections, repairs, and provide updates to the Lead Technician or Regional Maintenance Manager.
- Oversee inventory management to ensure adequate supplies and equipment, maintain equipment tracking logs, and document expenditures.
- Accurately complete service documentation and adhere to FAA regulations and company policies.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment for the maintenance team and flight crew.
- Facilitate effective communication among departments, vendors, and team members.
- Collaborate professionally with allied health and public safety personnel, as well as fellow maintenance technicians and operational staff.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Three years of FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification experience.
- Three years of experience with turbine-powered helicopters.
- Knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations.
- Experience with aircraft maintenance systems and record-keeping.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience under CFR Parts 133, 135, and 145.
- Skills in avionics troubleshooting and electrical repairs.
- Familiarity with AS350 helicopters.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work on ladders or scaffolding safely.
- Capability to stand, kneel, and lie in various positions for extended periods.
- Physical strength to lift, push, and pull objects weighing up to 150 pounds with assistance.
- Manual dexterity to operate tools and make adjustments.
- Exposure to loud noises and vibrations; may require hearing protection.
- Visual acuity for inspection and repair tasks, including color differentiation.
- Compliance with FAA drug and alcohol testing regulations.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
