Midtown Athletic Club, a luxury health oasis, is seeking a skilled Barber Specialist to join our world-class spa team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for providing exceptional hair treatments and services to our members and guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality hair treatments in accordance with established procedures and industry standards.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest hair trends and barbering techniques, and apply this knowledge to deliver exceptional results.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to health and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with other associates to promote spa services and achieve departmental goals.
- Promote services, participate in events, and sell retail products to enhance revenue and customer satisfaction.
- Address customer needs in a professional, positive, and timely manner.
Requirements
- Barber License required.
- Minimum of one year of experience as a hair barber, demonstrating a high level of proficiency.
- Demonstrate exceptional client service skills, with courtesy and attentiveness.
- Maintain a high level of physical fitness and stamina to meet the demands of the role.
- Promote your work and participate in club programs and events.
- Adhere to local and state licensing laws and regulations.
- Previous customer service experience preferred.
- Friendly, personable, and passionate about barbering.
- Excellent communication and time management skills.
- Very reliable and able to work independently.
- Excellent technical barbering abilities, including tailored cuts, fades, blowouts, tapering, shear work, hot towel shaves, specialty beard services, and enhancements.
