Job Overview

We're seeking a mid-level Engineer/Scientist to join our team in Cincinnati, Columbus, Cleveland, Ohio, or Indianapolis. As a key member of our Environmental & Infrastructure service offerings, you'll assist in the continued growth of our business through project execution, management, and business development responsibilities.

You'll work closely with our Practice Leaders and project managers to manage projects, lend technical expertise to existing projects, and expand our office client base through business development activities.

Responsibilities
  • Prospect for new clients and secure compliance, site assessment, remediation projects with an emphasis on due diligence projects.
  • Manage projects, including project scoping, proposal preparation, budgeting, project accounting, report preparation, and quality assurance.
  • Support environmental investigation, compliance, and remediation projects in the field and office.
  • Achieve 65% utilization on billable projects within six months of hire and maintain that level thereafter.
  • Cross-sell and increase business from accounts under management.
  • Work with other TRC project managers and business development professionals to develop strategies for new and existing customers.
Qualifications
  • Professional or technical degree in engineering, geology, environmental science, or a related field.
  • Prefer 5-10 years of experience in managing environmental site assessment, remediation, environmental compliance, or other service areas.
  • Proven track record of successful marketing, business development, business management, and oversight of regional businesses.
  • Strong business acumen and attributes, coupled with a commitment to TRC Values: Safety, Quality, Integrity, Creativity, Accountability, Teamwork, and Passion.
