ROLE OVERVIEW

The Senior Quality Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and sustaining quality assurance protocols and methodologies for transforming materials into final products. This role offers the chance to significantly contribute to our mission.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develops and maintains quality assurance standards and methods for processing materials into finished products.
  • Creates procedures for inspecting, testing, and assessing the precision and accuracy of production processes and equipment.
  • Analyzes production data and reports to identify trends, suggesting updates or modifications to quality standards as necessary.
  • Reviews technical documents for compliance with requirements.
  • Addresses moderate scope problems and provides resolutions.
  • Compares defects against established standards and recommends corrective actions.
  • Collects and analyzes project data, generating and reviewing metrics.
  • Conducts audits, assigns corrective actions, and verifies their implementation.
  • Participates in project reviews, including technical design and peer reviews.
  • Ensures compliance with defined requirements.
  • Monitors test activities and provides oversight.
  • Collaborates with various engineering disciplines, manufacturing, program management, and quality personnel.
  • Acts as an individual contributor on multiple projects.
  • Engages actively as a member of the project team.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field, with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong understanding of engineering methodologies, tools, and standards.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001:2008, CMMI, ISO 14001, ASME, ANSI, EIA, etc.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Creative thinking and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong skills in reporting quality activities and findings.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and documents.
  • Solid interpersonal skills and knowledge of inspection tools and techniques.
  • Requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related Science or Mathematics field, or a Master's degree.
  • Outstanding communication skills to collaborate with project teams and interact with stakeholders.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:

Department of Defense Secret security clearance is preferred at the time of hire. Candidates must be able to obtain a Secret clearance within a reasonable timeframe from the date of hire. Applicants selected may be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
