Plate Assembler

Position Title: Plate Assembler

Role Summary: The Plate Assembler is responsible for adhering to all organizational and safety regulations while ensuring that production specifications are accurately followed. This role involves the use of technology to monitor production schedules, identify similar tasks, and discover opportunities for enhancing operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review job tickets thoroughly prior to operating machinery to meet customer requirements.
• Utilize computer systems to access production schedules and identify job priorities.
• Engage in regular movement throughout the workspace to prepare plates for upcoming assignments.
• Collect necessary tools, cylinders, and tint sleeves as per job ticket guidelines.
• Inspect plates for quality and quantity, ensuring they meet the required standards.
• Trim plates to the correct dimensions according to specifications.
• Confirm the appropriate adhesive backing is used based on the job requirements.
• Assemble plates in accordance with job ticket directives.
• Organize job orders on the counter based on the designated press and current production schedule.
• Produce plates as necessary and retrieve them from the central storage.
• Maintain an orderly and clean workspace, ensuring the area and plate files are well-organized.
• Perform light maintenance on machinery and slitting blades as needed.
• Participate in departmental meetings, training sessions, and safety programs as scheduled.
• Be available for overtime work as required.
• Execute additional tasks as assigned.

Essential Skills:

• Proficient in reading and interpreting job tickets.
• Competent in using computer systems.
• Skilled in cutting plates to specified lengths.
• Experienced in mounting plates accurately.
• Basic knowledge of machinery maintenance.

Position Type: This is a Contract-to-Hire role.
