Position Overview:

A client based in Los Angeles is in search of a dedicated and empathetic Nurse Practitioner to lead the street medicine initiative aimed at serving the homeless and unsheltered population. Candidates with experience in managing individuals facing substance use challenges and complex social situations will be favored. The ideal applicant should demonstrate exceptional, evidence-based clinical care and be adept at treating patients across all age groups.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Active California Nurse Practitioner license
  • California DEA certificate required prior to commencement
  • Current CPR certification
  • Board certification in relevant specialty
  • Preferred proficiency in Spanish
  • Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and diagnose a range of medical conditions and injuries in patients of diverse age groups
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests and laboratory results, formulating treatment plans accordingly
  • Conduct therapeutic procedures with an emphasis on preventive care
  • Coordinate referrals, consultations, and therapeutic services for patients within the caseload
  • Accurately document all patient interactions in compliance with organizational policies
