Relief Security Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Relief Security Officer to join our team at Securitas AB. As a Relief Security Officer, you will be responsible for providing security services to our clients along the M4 corridor from Junction 5 to Junction 13.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Prevent and deter unauthorized access to the site.
  • Monitor fire alarms, intruder alarms, and CCTV systems.
  • Conduct external and internal security patrols to ensure the safety and security of the premises.
  • Carry out routine tests of security equipment to ensure it is functioning properly.
  • Maintain all logbooks and records, ensuring all paperwork is completed accurately and on time.
  • Provide support, guidance, and information to all staff, visitors, and contractors while ensuring the safeguarding of the premises.
  • Ensure health and safety procedures are followed at all times.
  • Report any usage of First Aid equipment and shortfalls in the contents of First Aid boxes.
  • Report instances of property at risk of being lost, stolen, damaged, and/or vandalized.
  • During patrols, switch off unnecessary lights and close windows to conserve energy and maintain a secure environment.
  • Display an outstanding level of customer service to all stakeholders.
  • Display the highest standard of personal presentation to maintain the image of Securitas AB and our clients.
  • Identify opportunities for improving practices and processes to enhance the security services provided.
  • Undertake any other duties as requested by Management.

**Requirements**

  • A valid SIA Licence.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • A five-year checkable employment history or be able to produce evidence of any period of unemployment.
  • A full UK driving licence and own transport due to the location of client sites.
  • Excellent communication skills and a strong customer focus.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Willingness and ability to work shifts covering days, nights, and weekends.
